KFC’s New Concept, Saucy, Launches in Orlando with Customizable Flavors and Unique Menu Options
KFC is introducing a fresh dining experience with the opening of its first Saucy restaurant in Orlando, Florida. This innovative concept takes KFC’s iconic Original Recipe® and reimagines it with a focus on playful, customizable flavor combinations.
“With Saucy, we’ve taken KFC’s famous Original Recipe® and amplified it with a brand-new concept that lets consumers play with flavor,” explained Christophe Poirier, KFC’s Chief New Concept Officer. “You can pick a combo, choose a flight of sauces, or, my personal favorite, mix sauces and sides to create your perfect meal.”
The menu highlights boneless chicken tenders paired with 11 signature sauces, which range from sweet to smoky and spicy. Guests can order sauces individually, as part of a “flight,” or even mix and match for a personalized dining experience. Complementing the meals are sides like crinkle cut fries, Hawaiian rolls, and coleslaw, along with desserts such as chocolate mousse cake and key lime cake.
Saucy also offers 11 beverages, a playful homage to KFC’s famous 11 herbs and spices. This new concept aims to provide diners with a dynamic and engaging way to enjoy their meals. It offers an exciting twist on fast-casual dining.

New Concept Teases Expansion Amidst Growing Trend of Fast-Casual Spinoffs
Saucy joins a growing trend of spinoff restaurant concepts aimed at redefining the fast-casual experience. Unlike traditional KFC locations, Saucy emphasizes boneless chicken tenders paired with 11 unique sauces, customizable combos, and bold menu options. This approach mirrors efforts by other brands to cater to evolving consumer preferences.
In recent years, concepts like Flip’d by IHOP targeted on-the-go diners with limited menus and seating, though the experiment ultimately shuttered after a few years. Meanwhile, McDonald’s continues to test its CosMc’s spinoff, which centers on customizable beverages. With a test location in Illinois and plans for five more in Texas, CosMc’s appears to be gaining traction in the market.
The early success of Saucy could position it as a standout in this space. By offering a creative twist on classic flavors and hinting at a broader expansion, Saucy reflects KFC’s strategic effort to remain competitive and relevant in the fast-casual dining sector. Fans of the concept can look forward to more announcements as KFC expands this flavorful new venture.
